The Massacre of Paris follows the events of the 1572 Saint Bartholomew’s Day Massacre, where French Protestants were attacked by Catholic forces. Often viewed as Protestant propaganda, the play explores religious prejudice, violence, and power.

This design draws parallels with the Troubles in Northern Ireland, showing how religious division has been used throughout history to divide people. It also explores the power of propaganda and how those in power can shape the way history is remembered.
